The Dragoon Cruiser is the quintessential bounty hunter's ship. All engines and guns, the Dragon Cruiser forgoes subtlety in favor of raw firepower and durability. The Dragoon Cruiser carries 36 crew.

Best Professions for this Ship[ | ]
The Dragoon Cruiser is a powerful starting ship. Any job should be suitable to direct one. However, the Pirate, Military Officer, and Bounty Hunter might do particularly well in a combat role that relies on close-combat followed by boarding actions as the Cruiser has powerful starting close-range Ship Combat weapons.
Best Early Upgrades[ | ]
Like many vessels, upgrading the weapons locker to at least an A3 locker is a rather urgent need. After that, consider saving up to replace one of your Barracks 2s with a Barracks 4. Then you can work on improving boarding with a Boarding Assault System or a Range Change Matrix in place of your now superfluous Barracks 2. Improving your lances can help chew through foes' components and crew before you close to boarding.
Risks of this Ship[ | ]
The Dragoon Cruiser has less base hull than the Cautela Heavylift (a close-price comparison.) Given that it lends itself to close combat and boarding, there are risks of losing boarding crew in combat, as well as before reaching the enemy vessel. Initially, boarding and range changing will be a serious struggle against smaller ships of higher level. The biggest risk, however, is taking large financial losses early on and not being able to feed the high fuel costs of this vessel or the large crew size.
