A smuggler's talent lies in rumors, back-channels and the illegal underbelly of faction worlds. They are skilled at sneaking into and out of well protected zones with a hold full of illegal goods. The smuggler profits by flouting legality, avoiding taxes and sniffing out rich trades in black markets. The Quadrants are vast and a smuggler who knows every corner will be able to hide, store cargo and avoid the law.

Starting Captain Traits[ | ]

A captain whose first job is Smuggler will gain the following traits:

Exploiter Leveraging the risk required to avoid trade law, +1 Quickness, +2 Charisma and gains +10% profit when trading at a Black Market Profession +3 *
Flighty Always dodging the law, gains +5 Escape, +10% Defense, +5% Shield in Ship Combat Profession +3 *
